MANAGUA, Nicaragua, 26 de noviembre de 2013.- El Seminario Internacional de Periodismo Deportivo que se puso en marcha este martes en Managua, lleva el nombre de “Pepe” Ruiz, en homenaje a la trayectoria de un destacado periodista deportivo local.
José Francisco Ruiz es un locutor de radio y narrador de beisbol con cuatro décadas de destacada labor en la profesión.
Recibió un homenaje consistente en una plaqueta de parte de la Asociación de Cronistas Deportivos de Nicaragua, entregada por su titular actual, Moisés Avalos y su presidente fundador, Carlos Reyes Sarmiento, así como presentes especiales de parte del presidente de AIPS América, Gabriel Cazenave.
Al agradecer la distinción, Ruiz relató ricas anécdotas de su extensa trayectoria.

Homage for the renowned journalist from Nicaragua José Francisco «Pepe» Ruiz
MANAGUA, Nicaragua, November 26, 2013 -. The International Seminar of Sports Journalism that was launched this tuesday in Managua, is named «Pepe» Ruiz, in tribute to the career of a prominent local sport journalist.
José Francisco Ruiz is a radio broadcaster and narrator of baseball with four decades of outstanding work in the profession.
He received a tribute consistent in a plaque on behalf of the Sports Writers Association of Nicaragua, delivered by its current holder, Moises Avalos and its founding president, Carlos Reyes Sarmiento, as well as special presents on behalf of the President of AIPS America, Gabriel Cazenave.
While thanking the distinction, Ruiz narrated rich anecdotes of his long career.
