Manaus, Brasil, 13 de febrero de 2014.- El comité ejecutivo de AIPS América, con siete de sus nueve miembros presentes, inició este martes su sesión extraordinaria en Manaus, Brasil, aprovechando la realización en esta ciudad sede del Mundial de fútbol Brasil 2014, de un encuentro internacional de periodistas, por iniciativa del gobierno del estado de Amazonas.

Durante la sesión, el comité ejecutivo de AIPS América resolvió aumentar de 15 a 19 las becas que otorgará este año para el Diplomado anual de La Habana, Cuba, cubriendo de esa manera todas las solicitudes recibidas de las asociaciones nacionales.

La segunda parte de la sesión se realizará este viernes, cuando se tiene previsto adjudicar la sede de los segundos Juegos AIPS América (en 2015), siendo la ciudad de Manaus una de las candidatas.

The executive committee of AIPS America is meeting in Manaus, with aroma of World Cup

Manaus, Brazil, February 13, 2014.- The Executive Committee of AIPS America, with seven of its nine members present, began this Tuesday its extraordinary session in Manaus, Brazil, taking advantage of the realization in this city, host of the World Cup Brazil 2014, of an international gathering of journalists, at the initiative of the state government of Amazonas.

During the meeting, the Executive Committee of AIPS America decided to increase from 15 to 19 the scholarships that will be grant this year for the annual Diplomate of La Habana, Cuba, covering in that way all the requests received from national associations.

The second part of the session will be held this Friday, when it is expected to award the venue of the second AIPS America Games (2015), being the city of Manaus one of the candidates.
