Munich (dpa) – Bayern Munich new signing Renato Sanches will be out for several weeks with a thigh muscle injury picked up playing for Portugal in the Euro 2016 final.
The German champions said the 18-year-old midfielder did not train on Sunday and will be out for three or four weeks, therefore missing the August 26 start of the Bundesliga.
Sanches has been labouring with the injury since Portugal’s 1-0 victory over France in the Euro 2016 final on July 10.
