London (dpa) – Bastian Schweinsteiger could be in contention for this weekend’s trip to Swansea after he was photographed training with the Manchester United first team on Monday.

The 32-year-old had seemed on his way out of Old Trafford after being left out of the Europa League squad for the group stages and had been left to train with the under-23 squad.

The World Cup winner was «written off» as an asset when the club released their accounts last month and has not played since the arrival of Jose Mourinho as manager.

United drew 0-0 with Burnley on Saturday and are now eighth, eight points behind Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool at the top.
