BOGOTÁ, Colombia January 27, 2023. Once again Colombia will play at home in the Davis Cup. After the draw in which Great Britain was defined as its opponent, the Colombians were favored in the draw that was also brought forward to decide which country would act as local, taking into account that this is the first time that the two nations will face each other in the most important tennis tournament by nations in the world, so the locality had to be defined that way.

From the moment the rival country was known, the Colombian Tennis Federation began the preparation of the series, deciding details such as the place to play the matches and the surface. For this purpose, the Pueblo Viejo Country Club, located in Cota, a municipality near Bogotá, was the chosen place and it was defined that it will be played on the Main Coliseum Court and on clay. The matches will take place on February 3-4, 2023, «this is an important time for the club, 25 years ago we opened the doors contributing to the development of the members, the community, the region and the country. Being the headquarters of the series against Great Britain allows us to celebrate, enjoy and support one of the emblematic event for national sport», said Andrés Santiago Yepes, president of the Pueblo Viejo Country Club. Currently the Club has 7 courts available for all tennis players, including indoor courts.
