La Habana, Cuba, 27 de agosto de 2014.- Un seminario, la premiación por parte de AIPS América al Centro de Prensa de los Juegos Mundiales Cali 2013 y el lanzamiento de los Juegos Acord 2015 constituyeron eslabones sobresalientes conjugados ante una nutrida presencia de periodistas deportivos en el Aula Máxima de la Escuela Nacional del Deporte, en la colombiana ciudad de Cali.

Fue en la tarde del jueves 21 cuando dicha actividad rindió homenaje a los 90 años de la creación de la Asociación Internacional de la Prensa Deportiva (AIPS, por sus siglas en francés) y para respaldarla se trasladaron hasta la capital del Valle Enrique Montesinos, primer vicepresidente de AIPS América, junto a Carlos Julio Castellanos, en su doble condición de vicepresidente de dicha entidad para Sudamérica y titular de la Asociación Colombiana de Redactores Deportivos, Acord.

Montesinos destacó en su presentación las coincidencias históricas entre el surgimiento de AIPS y los Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, ambas en París, durante los Juegos Olímpicos de 1924. Además, la fundación por parte de Abelardo Raidi de la Federación Latinoamericana y del Caribe de Periodistas Deportivos, embrión de Fepeda y de AIPS América, tuvo lugar durante la celebración de unos Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, los de La Habana 1982.

Castellanos se refirió a la importancia de la capacitación y que los periodistas colombianos con estudios universitarios tendrían en octubre venidero un Postgrado en coordinación con el Instituto Internacional de Periodismo José Martí, en tanto convocaba igualmente a un masivo seminario de tres días, coincidente con el final del primero, para aquellos de nivel medio superior. Igualmente destacó la trascendencia del Plan de Reporteros Jóvenes auspiciado por el presidente de AIPS, Gianni Merlo, proponiéndose desarrollarlo en Colombia para la captación de las nuevas generaciones de periodistas mediante reglas especiales.

Un momento solemne lo constituyó la entrega del premio AIPS América por parte de Enrique Montesinos y Carlos Julio Castellanos al mejor Centro de Prensa de América en el año 2013, que recayó en el de los Juegos Mundiales de Cali, trofeo recibido por Clara Luz Roldán, secretaria de Deportes y Recreación de Cali, junto al representante del alcalde Rodrigo Guerrero.

También hubo exposiciones acerca de las facilidades y la trascendencia que para Cali significa convertirse en enero próximo en la sede de los XIV Juegos Nacionales para Periodistas Deportivos, en cuyos 10 deportes se calcula intervendrán unos 600 colegas de las 27 seccionales colombianas afiliadas.

Dicho certamen será adicionalmente selectivo para integrar el equipo de Colombia a los II Juegos de AIPS América, en febrero de 2015, en Manaos, Brasil. Durante la presentación oficial, Clara Luz Roldán reiteró que la ciudad trabaja para organizar los mejores Juegos de la historia.

La Habana, Cuba, 27 August 2014.- A seminar, the awarding of the prize on the part of AIPS America to the Media Centre of the World Games Cali 2013 and the launch of the Games Acord 2015 have constituted outstanding links, conjugated in front of a large presence of journalists sport in the Maximum Classroom of the National School Sports, in the Colombian city of Cali.

It was on the afternoon of Thursday 21 where such activity paid tribute to the 90th anniversary of the creation of the International Association of Sports Press (AIPS, for its acronym in French) and to back it, were moved to the capital of Valle Enrique Montesinos, first Vice President of AIPS America, with Carlos Julio Castellanos, in his dual capacity as vice president of such entity for South America and head of the Colombian Association of Sports Writers, Acord.

Montesinos in his presentation highlighted the historical similarities between the arise of AIPS and the Central American and Caribbean Games, the two in Paris, during the 1924 Olympic Games. In addition, the foundation on the part of Abelardo Raidi of the Latin American and Caribbean Federation of Sports Journalists , embryo of FEPEDA and AIPS America, took place during the celebration of some Central American and Caribbean Games, those of La Habana 1982.

Castellanos spoke of the importance of the training and that the colombian journalists with university studies would have in coming October a postgraduate in coordination with the International Institute of Journalism José Martí, meanwhile called also to a massive three-day seminar, coinciding with the end of the first, for those of higher medium level. He also highlighted the transcendence of the Young Reporters Plan sponsored by AIPS President Gianni Merlo, proposing to develop it in Colombia for the attracting of the new generations of journalists by special rules.

A solemn moment was the delivery of the AIPS America award from Enrique Montesinos and Carlos Julio Castellanos to the best Media Center of America in 2013, which went to the World Games of Cali, trophy received by Clara Luz Roldan, secretary of Sports and Recreation of Cali, next to the representative of the mayor Rodrigo Guerrero.

There were also presentations about the facilities and the significance that for Cali means becoming next January in the seat of the XIV National Games for Sports Journalists, in whose 10 sports, are calculated that will involve about 600 colleagues from 27 Colombian sectionals affiliates.

This event will be selective in addition to integrate the team of Colombia for the II Games AIPS America, in February 2015, in Manaus, Brazil. During the official presentation, Clara Luz Roldan reiterated that the city works to stage the best Games ever.
