Asunción, Paraguay, 13 de abril de 2015.- La FIFA informó que junto con AIPS, entregará el premio Jules Rimet (francés; tercer presidente de la FIFA) a los periodistas deportivos que acrediten haber cubierto once o más Copas del Mundo. Quienes hayan alcanzado diez, recibirán menciones especiales. Los detalles, a continuación:

Nos complace informarles que la Comision de Medios Informativos de la FIFA presentara el Premio Jules Rimet para periodistas que hayan trabajado en al menos once Mundiales de la FIFA. es decir, que hayan informado sobre nuestro torneo más emblemático durante 40 años ó mas. Con este galardón, la FIFA rinde tributo a la prensa por su importante contribución a la promoción del fútbol y de la mas prestigiosa competición de este deporte.
Se seleccionara a los premiados sobre la base de los resultados de la investigación realizada por la AlPS (Asociacion Internacional de la Prensa Deportiva). A fin de recibir este premio, el periodista necesita haber trabajado en los Mundiales de la FIFA corno reportero de prensa escrita o television/radio o como fotógrafo de un medio de comunicación. Los periodistas necesitan proporcionar una prueba de su trabajo (artículos, fotos, la acreditación, etc.).
Les comunicaremos la publicación de la lista de premiados y pediremos a las asociaciones miembro correspondientes que encuentren una ocasión apropiada para la entrega de premios, por ejemplo, coincidiendo con un partido de la selección. Los ganadores recibirán una réplica en miniatura del Trofeo de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA.
Aquellos profesionales de los medios de comunicación que hayan cubierto diez Copas Mundiales de la FIFA recibirán una mención especial.
Esta es la segunda ocasión en la que la FIFA otorga esta distinción. También se mencionará a los galardonados de 2004.

FIFA will deliver Jules Rimet award to journalists with 11 or more World Cups
Asuncion, Paraguay, April 13, 2015.- The FIFA informed that along with AIPS, will deliver the Jules Rimet Award (French, third president of FIFA) to sports journalists who prove to have covered eleven or more World Cups. Those who have reached ten, will receive special mentions. The details below:
FIFA Jules Rimet Award for journalists who have covered 11 FIFA World CUpS
Dear Sir or Madam
We would like to inform you that the FIFA Media Committee will be presenting the Jules Rimet Award for journalists who have covered at least 11 FIFA World CUpTM tournaments as accredited media representatives, thereby having reported for 40 years – or more – on FIFA’s flagship competition. With this award, FIFA pays tribute to the media for their significant contribution to the promotion of football and the most prestigious football competition.
The award winners will be selected based on the result of research conducted by the international sports press association AlPS. In order to receive the award, a journalist needs to have covered the FIFA World Cups working for a media organisation as a reporter in the written press, a photographer or a TV/radio reporter.
Journalists need to provide proof of their coverage (accreditation badges, articles, photos, etc.).
We will inform you once the list of awardees is known, and we will ask the relevant FIFA member associations to find a suitable occasion for the award presentation, for example on the occasion of a national team match. The award winners will receive a miniature replica of the FIFA World Cup Trophy. Special recognition will be given to media representatives who have covered ten FIFA World Cups.
It will be the second time FIFA has presented this award. 2004 awardees will also be acknowledged.
