Asunción, 15 de febrero de 2016.- Este es el texto completo del informe presentado por AIPS América en el Congreso de AIPS desarrollado en Doha, del 7 al 11 de febrero.

“AIPS América vive un momento difícil, por razones diversas, entre las que resalta la dificultad para la autofinanciación de sus múltiples proyectos, esencialmente los de jerarquización profesional de sus miembros. Los apoyos de empresas privadas que generosamente prestaron su cooperación con nuestra entidad en los últimos cinco años, se han ido extinguiendo en la misma medida en que las buenas intenciones fueron sucumbiendo ante claras realidades de la esfera comercial, en el que si no existe una contraprestación que equilibre la balanza, el negocio no cuadra y se deshace.

“Con la fuerza del arranque de la gestión del actual comité ejecutivo de AIPS América, en 2011, llegamos a contar con tres apoyos financieros bien sólidos (Coca-Cola Paraguay, Claro Ecuador y Petrobras Paraguay/Brasil), que nos permitieron sostener nuestra página web bilingüe, financiar las entregas de los premios AIPS América (para deportistas) y Abelardo Raidi (para periodistas), que ya llevan cinco ediciones, y además solventar las becas para el Postgrado anual de La Habana, con cantidades que fueron en aumento de 11 a 19 entre 2011 y 2015.

“Hoy solo contamos con un sponsor (PF, de Chile), nuevo y poderoso, pero basado al igual que los anteriores que ya no están, más en las buenas relaciones personales entre periodistas y empresarios que en un verdadero retorno comercial para la citada compañía.

“El aporte de PF, los 5 dólares que AIPS nos retorna por cada tarjeta generada en nuestro continente y el apoyo anual de nuestra matriz mundial de cinco becas para Cuba constituyen en este momento los recursos genuinos de AIPS América para afrontar los retos que el presente y el futuro le deparan.

“Estamos por tanto obligados a extremar esfuerzos, a trabajar cada vez más para que la búsqueda de los recursos sea un compromiso de todos y no solo de los miembros del comité ejecutivo y su entorno más cercano. Las asociaciones nacionales tienen en sus manos una eficaz herramienta para cooperar con la reducción del impacto de este duro momento económico de AIPS América, cual es la captación entre sus miembros de nuevos socios para AIPS, dado que el crecimiento del número de miembros americanos, significará en forma directa una inyección oportuna para aliviar la delicada situación actual.

“Este desfavorable panorama financiero, sin embargo na hará decaer el habitual entusiasmo con el que este ejecutivo de AIPS América ha encarado sus obligaciones en la conducción de la entidad. Con ingenio y esfuerzo conseguiremos la manera de mantener en alto nuestra bandera para así honrar el compromiso asumido.

“Pasando a otros temas, la intención de AIPS América fue la de reunir aquí en Doha a una cantidad importante de delegados americanos, objetivo que no se ha podido cumplir a cabalidad debido a que nuestro continente es el menos favorecido cuando los eventos de AIPS se efectúan en el Asia, por la distancia y el consecuente alto costo de los boletos.

“Por último, deseo disculparme ante los queridos compañeros del comité ejecutivo de AIPS y ante los congresistas en general, por no poder acompañarlos en esta ocasión, debido a razones de índole familiar que exigen mi presencia en mi país, Paraguay. Por la misma razón no pude comparecer en el ejecutivo de Manama/Abu Dabi a fines del año pasado. Con seguridad, pronto volveré a tener la inmensa satisfacción de verlos y abrazarlos”.

Aips America Report – Aips Congress Doha 2016

Asuncion, Paraguay, February 15, 2016.- This is the full text of the report of AIPS America developed in Doha AIPS Congress, from 7 to 11 February.

“AIPS America is going through a difficult time, for various reasons, among which is the difficulty for the self-financing of its many projects, essentially the professional hierarchization of its members. The support of private companies who generously lent their cooperation to our organization in the past five years, have become extinct in the same measure that the good intentions were succumbing facing clear realities of the commercial sphere, in which if there is no a return that show an increase of the balances, the business does not fit and gets rid.

“With the strength of starting the management of the current executive committee of AIPS America, in 2011, we count on with three very strong financial support (Coca-Cola Paraguay, Claro Equator and Petrobras Paraguay / Brazil), which allowed us to sustain our website bilingual; to finance deliveries of prizes AIPS America (for athletes) and Abelardo Raidi (for journalists), who have been five editions; and also favor the annual Postgraduate scholarships for La Habana, with quantities that  were increasing from 11 to 19 between 2011 and 2015.

“Today we only have one sponsor (PF, Chile), new and powerful but based like the previous ones that are gone, more on good personal relationships between journalists and entrepreneurs than in a real commercial return for such company.

“The contribution of PF, the 5 dollars that AIPS returns us for each card that we generated in our continent and the annual support of our global matrix of five scholarships to Cuba, are at this time the AIPS America genuine resources to meet the challenges that the present and the future wait us.

“We are therefore forced to take extra efforts to work increasingly for that the search of the resources be a commitment of everyone and not just of the members of executive committee and their immediate environment. National associations have in their hands a powerful tool to cooperate with the reducing the impact of this difficult economic time of AIPS America, which is the uptake among its members of new partners for AIPS, considering that the growing number of American members, will mean directly an opportune injection to alleviate the current difficult situation.

“This unfavorable financial picture, however not will decay the usual enthusiasm  with that this executive of AIPS America has faced its obligations in the conduct of the entity. With ingenuity and effort we will get the way to keep high our flag in order to honor the commitment assumed.

“Turning to other issues, the intention of AIPS America was to gather here in Doha to a significant number of american delegates, a goal that could not comply fully because our continent is the least favored when the events of AIPS take place in Asia, by the distance and the high cost of tickets accordingly.

“Finally, I apologize to the dears fellow of the executive committee and to the AIPS Congress in general, for not being able to join you this time because of family-related reasons that require my presence in my country, Paraguay. For the same reason, I could not attend to the executive of Manama / Abu Dhabi late last year. Surely, soon I will have the immense satisfaction to see and embrace you all”.
