Tijuana, México, 19 de enero de 2014.- La Federación Mexicana de Cronistas Deportivos (FEMECRODE) realizará su Asamblea Anual Ordinaria los días 22 y 23 de febrero en Cancún, Quintana Roo, ciudad con un desarrollo turístico de nivel internacional, donde el organismo festejará el “Día del Cronista Deportivo” para recordar que llega a 21 años de actividad y, unos días después, entre el 25 y el 28 organizará una magna conferencia donde el ponente será el italiano Gianni Merlo, presidente de AIPS.

Ambos eventos serán históricos para México. En Cancún, FEMECRODE festejará su 21 aniversario de fundación y el Día del Cronista Deportivo en México, el 22 de febrero, y del 25 al 28 del mismo mes, estará en dicha ciudad el presidente de la Asociación Internacional de la Prensa Deportiva (AIPS, por sus siglas en francés).
Merlo no pudrá acudir en las fechas de la Asamblea por tener compromisos en Sochi, Rusia, ya que en esos días terminan las competencias de los Juegos Olímpicos de Invierno, pero ya confirmó que llega el 25 y permanece hasta el 28 de febrero por lo que los cronistas deportivos de Quintana Roo ya confeccionan la agenda que desarrollará.
Para la Asamblea de FEMECRODE en Cancún se esperan delegados de más de 20 estados, así como dos periodistas por entidad, uno recibirá el Premio Fray Nano que se entrega por trayectoria a cronistas con más de 25 años en la profesión y el Premio Ángel Fernández para los que tienen más de 5 y menos de 15 años en la actividad.
FEMECRODE se constituyó el 22 de febrero de 1992 en una asamblea hotel Plaza Galería del Distrito Federal con la participación de delegados de diez entidades: Colima, Baja California, Nuevo León, Nayarit, Jalisco, Sonora, Baja California Sur, Sinaloa, Veracruz y Chihuahua.
Cuenta actualmente con reconocimiento internacional al ser parte activa de la Federación de Periodistas de América (AIPS América) y de la Asociación Internacional de Prensa Deportiva (AIPS).
FEMECRODE ha tenido tres presidentes, José Manuel Santoyo de Baja California Sur, Francisco Javier Virgen de Colima y el dirigente actual, Andrés Guevara de Mexicali, Baja California quien cumple su segundo período al frente de este organismo ya que en el 2012 fue ratificado en el cargo de presidente.

Assembly of FEMECRODE and illustrious visit of Gianni Merlo, in February in Cancun

Tijuana, Mexico, January 19, 2014.-The Mexican Federation of Sports Writers (FEMECRODE) will hold its Annual General assembly on 22 and 23 February in Cancun, Quintana Roo, a city with an international tourism development, where the organism will celebrate the «Day of the Sport Reporter» to remember that reaches 21 years of activity and, a few days later, between the 25 and 28 will organize a major conference where the speaker will be the Italian Gianni Merlo, President of AIPS.
Both events will be historic for Mexico. In Cancun, FEMECRODE will celebrate its 21 anniversary of foundation and the day of the Sports Reporter in Mexico, on February 22, and from 25 to 28 of the same month, will be in that city the president of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS, by its French acronym).
Merlo can not go on dates of the Assembly for having commitments in Sochi, Russia, because in those days the competencies of the Winter Olympic Games will finish, but has already confirmed that arrives the 25 and stays until February 28 so it the sportswriters of Quintana Roo are already making the agenda that will develop.
For the Assembly of FEMECRODE in Cancun are expected delegates from more than 20 states, as well as two journalists for entity, one will receive the Fray Nano Award which is given for trajectory to chroniclers with more than 25 years in the profession and Ángel Fernández Award for those who have more than 5 and less than 15 years in the activity.
FEMECRODE was constituted on February 22, 1992 in the Federal District with the participation of delegates from ten states: Colima, Baja California, Nuevo León, Nayarit, Jalisco, Sonora, Baja California Sur, Sinaloa, Veracruz and Chihuahua.
Currently is recognized internationally as an active part of the American Federation of Journalists (AIPS America) and the International Sports Press Association (AIPS).
FEMECRODE has had three presidents, José Manuel Santoyo of Baja California Sur, Francisco Javier Virgen of Colima and the current leader, Andres Guevara of Mexicali, Baja California who is serving his second term at the head of this organization since that in 2012 was confirmed in the charge of president.
