Este miércoles 4 de setiembre, en el nuevo hotel Boca Juniors de Buenos Aires, se realizó una reunión convocada por AIPS para intentar reunificar a la familia del periodismo deportivo de la Argentina, que en este momento se encuentra dividida en dos asociaciones.
Del encuentro tomaron parte las dos principales autoridades de AIPS, su presidente Gianni Merlo y su vicepresidente 1°, Esat Yilmaer, la secretaria general de la entidad, Roslyn Morris, el presidente de AIPS América, Gabriel Cazenave, a quien acompañó Leandro Shara, del Círculo de Periodistas Deportivos de Chile, además de las partes en conflicto.
Por FAPED (Federación Argentina de Periodistas Deportivos), actual entidad reconocida por AIPS, asistieron Cristian Torino (secretario general) y Héctor Pela (revisor de cuentas), en tanto que por UCIPDA (Unión de Círculos de Periodistas Deportivos de la Argentina), lo hicieron Ricardo Bottura (presidente) y Enrique Lobos (vicepresidente).
Luego de una extensa exposición del problema que motivó la separación del gremio en el año 2010, y las invitación al trabajo conjunto en un país tan poderoso en el deporte mundial como es la Argentina, de parte de Gianni Merlo y Gabriel Cazenave, las partes decidieron conformar una comisión de transición integrada por las personas citadas, que tendrá por misión dar los pasos hacia la reintegración del gremio, en la brevedad posible.
FAPED se comprometió a levantar sanciones a cuatro miembros de UCIPDA en su próximo congreso (octubre 2013, en Comodoro Rivadavia) y a promover un cambio estatutario tomando como base el estatuto actual de UCIPDA mientras que esta entidad aceptó plantear a sus miembros la reunificación, para trabajar todos juntos bajo una misma bandera.
La reunión terminó dentro de un marco de armonía y optimismo.

Optimism after AIPS meeting with the two associations of Argentina
This Wednesday September 4, at the new hotel Boca Juniors of Buenos Aires, was held a meeting convened by AIPS to try to reunify the family of sports journalism of Argentina, which is currently divided into two associations.
Of the meeting took part the two main authorities of AIPS, his President Gianni Merlo and his 1st vice president, Esat Yilmaer; the general secretary of the organization, Roslyn Morris; the President of AIPS America, Gabriel Cazenave, who was accompanied by Leandro Shara, of the Circle of Sports Journalists of Chile, as well as the conflicting parties.
By FAPED (Federation of Sports Journalists of Argentina) current entity recognized by AIPS, were attended Cristian Torino (general secretary) and Héctor Pela (account auditor), while for UCIPDA (Union of Sports Press Circles of Argentina), they did it Ricardo Bottura (president) and Enrique Lobos (vice president).
After an extensive statement of the problem that caused the separation of the union in 2010, and the invitation to the joint work in such a powerful country in world sports such is Argentina, by Gianni Merlo and Gabriel Cazenave, the parties decided conform a transition committee composed of the persons named, which will aim to give the steps towards the reintegration of the union, in the shortest possible time.
FAPED pledged to lift sanctions against four members of UCIPDA at its next congress (October 2013, in Comodoro Rivadavia) and to promote a statutory change based on the current statute of UCIPDA while this entity agreed to propose to its members the reunification, to work together under the same banner.
The meeting ended in a framework of harmony and optimism.
