MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay, 12 de marzo de 2018.- Todo parece indicar que en el mundo del deporte, algunas organizaciones deportivas, claramente identificadas, continúan manejándose con absoluta impunidad afectando la imagen de terceros, por el solo hecho de continuar sacando provecho material, arriesgando la vida de los competidores, permitiendo que los deshonestos sigan su marcha.

El dopaje y la corrupción de todo tipo están saliendo a la superficie todos los días. Son actos criminales, permitidos por altos directivos, entrenadores, directivos, médicos, atletas y otros en el campo de los deportes, que logran enmascarar sus actos ilegales muy bien, manteniendo su imagen pública limpia. De esta manera, permiten que la falta de honradez contamine al mundo del deporte profundamente, porque son – desgraciadamente -, aquellos que siempre han querido atajos para alcanzar el éxito.

Tal el caso que sucedió con el atleta, Kamal Abdul Salam Abdul Rahman (también conocido como Kamal Elgargni) suspendido por la Comisión antidopaje de Qatar en marzo de 2014 hasta 2022, y que igualmente, participó en el evento de culturismo profesional, organizado por la organización norteamericana NPC (National Physique Committee USA). Este mal llamado atleta, fue proclamado ganador del evento, empañando la imagen del Arnold Sport Festival Columbus y recibiendo su premio de manos del ex gobernador Schwarzenegger.

La NPC (USA) y su Presidente Jim Manion, primero fueron suspendidos en setiembre 2017 por la IFBB, por sus malas prácticas y, luego, fueron expulsados por el Comité Ejecutivo de la Federación; lo que fue ratificado el 3 de noviembre 2017, en Benidorm (España), por decisión unánime del Congreso de la IFBB.

La expulsión abarca tanto el Sr. Jim Manion, como su organización, con efecto inmediato, – como reza la resolución -, por conductas perjudiciales relacionadas con múltiples violaciones a los Estatutos de IFBB, Código de Ética y Reglas. Además, Jim Manion, Presidente de la Pro League y la NPC han sido incluidos en la lista de Asociaciones Prohibidas de la Agencia Mundial Antidopaje (WADA) para operar organizaciones vinculadas al deporte, como consecuencia de sus continuas violaciones del Código WADA, y faltar al respeto de las reglas deportivas internacionales. Los documentos oficiales se han hecho públicos en el sitio web oficial de la AMA. La fecha de publicación fue el 12 de enero de 2018.

De la situación creada, la IFBB ha informado por nota a todas sus afiliadas con el siguiente texto:

El atleta Sr. Kamal Abdul Salam Abdul Rahman fue suspendido el 27 de abril de 2014, por un período de 8 años, por la Comisión Antidopaje de Qatar en una resolución adoptada por este organismo, debido a la regla antidopaje múltiples violaciones.

– El atleta ha solicitado insistentemente una Tarjeta Pro, cuya aprobación fue denegada por la IFBB, en la suspensión, y con el debido respeto al Código WADA, el Comité Antidopaje de Qatar y las partes involucradas.

– El Sr. Kamal tiene plena conciencia de su situación, por lo tanto, está mintiendo deliberadamente en público.

– El Sr. Manion y la Pro League estaban al tanto del caso, y la IFBB les informó en reiteradas ocasiones, la última vez en marzo de 2017.

– Una vez más, el Sr. Manion y la Pro League han violado las normas internacionales, abusando y empañando la imagen de terceros.

– El Sr. Jim Manion, presidente del NPC (Comité Nacional de Física, Estados Unidos) y presidente de la Pro League está incluido en la lista de asociaciones prohibidas de la WADA.

Divulgamos estos hechos, para que alcancen rechazo y repudio desde el deporte limpio y alertamos por la alta exposición y peligro que corren algunas vidas humanas, que individuos sin miramiento ni escrúpulo y por dinero, ponen en riesgo usando como puente el deporte.

Proscribed organization continues operating unscrupulously

MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay, March 12, 2018.- All seems to indicate that in the sports world, some clearly identified sports organizations continue conducting themselves with absolute impunity, affecting the image of third parties, merely for the sake of material gain, risking competitors’ lives and allowing dishonest ones to follow their course.

Doping and corruption of all kinds are surfacing every day. These are criminal acts, permitted by senior management, coaches, managers, doctors, athletes and others in the field of sports, who cover up their illegal acts efficiently, maintaining a spotless public image. This way, they allow a lack of integrity to contaminate the sports world profoundly, because they are –unfortunately- those who have always required shortcuts to achieve success.

Such is the case of athlete Kamal Abdul Salam Abdul Rahman (also known as Kamal Elgargni), suspended by the Anti-Doping Commission of Qatar in March 2014 until 2022, and who all the same participated in the professional bodybuilding event organized by the National Physique Committee of USA. This misnamed athlete was proclaimed winner of the event, tarnishing the image of the Arnold Sport Festival Columbus and receiving his award from the hands of former governor Schwarzenegger.

The NPC (USA) and its president, Jim Manion, were firstly suspended in September 2017 by the IFBB for their bad practices, and were then expelled by the Federation’s Executive Committee; which was ratified on November the 3rd 2017, in Benidorm (Spain), by the IFBB Congress’s unanimous decision.

The expulsion involves both Mr. Jim Manion and his organization, with immediate effect-as outlined in the resolution-, for harmful behavior related to multiple violations of the IFBB Statutes, Code of Ethics and Rules. Furthermore, Jim Manion, President of the Pro League and the NPC have been included in the World Anti-Doping Agency’s list of Prohibited Associations to operate organizations linked to sport, due to their recurrent violations of the WADA Code, and their offense towards international sport rules. The official documents have been made public at the AMA’s official website. The publication date was January 12 2018.

The IFBB has issued a note informing its affiliates of the situation, which reads:

The athlete Mr. Kamal Abdul Salam Abdul Rahman was suspended on April 27 2014,for a period of 8 years, by the Anti-Doping Commission of Qatar, in a resolution adopted by this organization, due to multiple violations of anti-doping regulations.

-The athlete has repeatedly solicited a Pro Card, whose approval was denied by the IFBB, in the suspension, and with due respect to the WADA Code, the Anti-Doping Committee of Qatar and all parties involved.

-Mr. Kamal has full awareness of his situation, and thus, is deliberately lying in public.

-Mr. Manion and the Pro League were aware of the case, and the IFBB informed them on several occasions, the last one being on March 2017.

-Once more, Mr. Manion and the Pro League have violated the international norms, abusing and tainting the image of third parties.

-Mr. Jim Manion, President of the NPC and President of the Pro League, is included inthe WADA’s Prohibited Associations list.

We disclose these events so they elicit clean sport’s disdain and repudiation, and warn about the high exposure and peril some human lives are being subjected to, lives which certain unscrupulous and money-driven individuals put at risk using sport as a mean.
