Es realmente impresionante, pero funcional. Inmediatamente te sientes a gusto. Todavía no hay muchos colegas. La casa llena está programada para el 21 de julio, luego, a partir del 24, todos estarán dispersos por las distintas instalaciones de la competencia.

Problemas Diarios. Después de esta visión te sumerges en la realidad. Personal y voluntarios organizados, muy amables y cooperativos. Están felices de participar, como nosotros, pero se ignora que nuestra libertad de movimiento se reduce día a día. Este es un problema que se abordará en un intento por reducir las dificultades profesionales, porque el acceso a las fuentes, ya precario por los efectos de la pandemia, sigue siendo cada vez más difícil.

Sin Público. Cuando el Gobierno optó por cerrar los estadios al público, muchos pensaron que quizás sería posible al menos aumentar la presencia de la prensa en las instalaciones vacías, donde el riesgo de contagio sería realmente cercano a cero. El problema se estudiará detenidamente y quizás el fin de semana se tenga información más precisa. El aumento de casos positivos de Covid en Tokio ciertamente no facilita las decisiones de apertura, por lo que es necesario esperar.

No Somos los contaminantes. Coincidimos en que la población se mantenga a salvo de posibles infecciones, pero nos hacen pruebas con regularidad, también casi todos estamos vacunados. No somos engrasadores, solo pedimos poder realizar nuestro trabajo respetando las reglas que dicta la seguridad. Un hecho es cierto: venimos de diferentes experiencias. Hemos conocido lo difícil y pesado durante meses, pero aquí todo ha sido suave hasta ahora y, por lo tanto, el miedo es grande. Tienen 1500 casos positivos al día. En el Reino Unido hay más de 30.000 y todo está abierto debido a las vacunas, aquí solo llegan al 20% de la población. Honestamente entendemos los miedos.

Pasaporte Verde. Hace tres días Katsunobo Kato, Jefe del Gabinete del Secretariado, dijo en una conferencia de prensa que el pasaporte verde para los que han sido vacunados entrará en vigencia el 26 de julio para permitir que los japoneses viajen al exterior y entren con reglas relativas a la cuarentena suave o quizás sin ella, en diez países que incluyen Italia, Francia y Grecia. Es una apertura pequeña pero importante. Ahora estamos esperando una especie de reciprocidad.

Tokyo 2020: Impressive Main Press Centre offers breath of fresh air after three-day hard quarantine

TOKYO, July 15, 2021.- The Main Press Center of the Tokyo 2020 Games is large, impressive, modern. It is the symbol of efficient, hardworking Japan. It welcomes you with those four huge funnels connected to each other, it impresses you. It is the future, a sort of modern temple. It is very impressive to enter it, after almost four days of strict quarantine, that is, in a closed room with practically an hour of air for meals. It is really impressive, but functional. You immediately feel at ease. There are not many colleagues yet. The full house is scheduled for July 21st, then from the 24th everyone will be scattered over the various competition facilities.

Daily Problems. After this vision you immerse yourself in the reality. Organizing staff and volunteers very kind and cooperative. They are happy to participate, as are we, but are unaware that our freedom of movement is shrinking day by day. This is a problem that will be addressed in an attempt to reduce professional hardship, because access to sources, already made precarious by the effects of the pandemic, continues to be increasingly difficult.

Public Out. When the Government chose to close the stadiums to the public, many thought that perhaps it would be possible to increase at least the presence of the press in the empty facilities, where the risk of contagion would be really close to zero. The problem will be studied carefully and perhaps at the end of the weekend more precise information will be available. The increase in positive Covid cases in Tokyo certainly does not facilitate opening decisions, so it is necessary to wait.

We are not the Infectors. We agree that the population is kept safe from possible infections, but we are tested regularly, almost all of us are also vaccinated. We are not greasers, we only ask to be able to carry out our work respecting the rules dictated by safety. One fact is certain: we come from different experiences. We have known hard, heavy lookdowns for months, but here it has all been soft so far and so the fear is great. They have 1500 positive cases a day. In the UK there are more than 30,000 and everything is open due to vaccinations, which only reached 20% of the population here. We honestly understand the fears.

Green Pass.
