Hamburg (dpa) – SV Hamburg midfielder Albin Ekdal is to miss the final match of the Bundesliga season at Augsburg Saturday after hurting himself in a visit to a nightclub, the team said Monday.
Ekdal «suffered a cut which had to be treated at hospital after a fall at a Hamburg club Saturday,» Hamburg said on Twitter. «He will not available for the last match at Augsburg.»
The Swedish international Ekdal has made 14 appearances for midtable Hamburg this year in a debut season hampered by injury.
