ASUNCIÓN, Paraguay, 25 de febrero de 2021.- Luego del segundo corte que realizó el Jurado de la tercera edición de los AIPS Sport Media Awards (ASMA), correspondientes al año 2020, 41 trabajos de periodistas americanos sobreviven y competirán por los premios principales en las ocho categoría generales y las tres para reporteros jóvenes.
El primer filtro derivó en las “Long list” (listas largas), publicadas en nuestra web el pasado 8 de febrero (https://www.aips-america.com/web/trabajos-de-periodistas-de-america-en-carrera-en-todas-las-categorias/).
Tras el segundo cedazo, quedaron conformadas las “Short list” (listas cortas), que las damos a conocer líneas más abajo, en las que en las ocho categorías generales, que distribuirán premios en efectivo a los tres primeros, están en concurso 31 presentaciones hechas por periodistas y fotógrafos del continente americano, discriminadas de esta manera: 12 de USA, 5 de Brasil, 4 de Colombia, 3 de Argentina, 2 de Venezuela y 1 de El Salvador, Trinidad y Tobago, Cuba, Chile y Puerto Rico.
En las tres divisiones creadas para Reporteros Jóvenes (Sub 30), en las que los premios serán becas para asistir a grades eventos deportivos en el mundo, los participantes americanos que sigue en carrera son diez, según este detalle: 4 de USA, 2 de Argentina, 1 de Cuba, Paraguay, México y Perú.
Los ganadores de los premios serán dados a conocer el 22 de marzo en un evento en modo virtual (ver nota en esta página) organizado de esta forma por AIPS debido a que pese a haber pasado un año desde su primer impacto, los efectos del covid-19 siguen afectando seriamente a todas las regiones del mundo.
