La página web institucional de AIPS América ha comenzado a traducirse íntegramente del español al inglés a partir del miércoles pasado. Del mismo modo se hará con todos los comunicados a las asociaciones nacionales del continente, arrancando con este. De esta forma terminamos por derribar la barrera idiomática que separa a los hispanoparlantes con los de habla inglesa. Nos quedará aun pendiente extender la comunicación plurilingual a los países francófonos, que no son pocos, misión que no la tenemos abandonada y que nos ha permitido en los últimos meses mantener un fluido contacto con Haití, cabeza visible de ese grupo de naciones.
Esta modalidad implica una labor de coordinación entre la recepción y elaboración de las notas periodísticas publicadas en nuestra página web, que se hace a través de la presidencia, su traducción y posterior autorización para su publicación. Del mismo modo, se deberá trabajar para la elaboración de los comunicados masivos a las asociaciones nacionales.
Desde luego que todo esto conlleva la necesidad de realizar una inversión adicional, que de modo experimental, hasta fin de año, demandará una inversión de US$ 200 al mes, destinados a reconocer de modo simbólico la específica y profesional tarea de traducción.
No ocultamos nuestra inmensa satisfacción ante este nuevo paso al frente de AIPS América y, en consecuencia, nos resulta muy grato compartir la noticia con todos ustedes.

Communiqué to the national associations:AIPS America website and Announcements in English and Spanish
The institutional website of AIPS America has begun to be translated entirely from Spanish to English from last Wednesday.
In the same way, it will be done with all the communiqués to the national associations of the continent, starting with this. Like this, we end up to bring down the language barrier that separates the Spanish-speaking with the English speakers. We have still pending extend the plurilingual communication to the Francophone countries, which are not few, mission that we have not abandoned and that has allowed us in recent months maintain a fluid contact with Haiti, the visible head of this group of nations.
This modality implies a labor of coordination between the receipt and elaboration of the journalistic notes published in our web page, which is done across the presidency, its translation and later authorization for its publication. Similarly, it will have to work for the development of massive communications to the national associations.
Of course, that all this leads to the need to make additional investment, that in a experimental way, until the end of the year, will require an investment of US$ 200 a month, intended to recognize symbolically the specific and professional labor of translation.
